28-09-06, The Responsible Gaming Fund sets social standards for gaming business
Today, at the conference devoted to estimating the current state of gaming business in the country, arranged by Russian Association of Gaming Business Development, for the first time during the political fight about the industry, the Responsible Gaming Fund gave a wording to social requirements for gaming business operators. The requirements can significantly mitigate the negative social consequences resulting from the lack of the industry regulatory control.
”The necessity of forming clear social demands has been long-standing, - states Deputy Chairperson of the Fund Ekaterina Kulikova, - as the wave of social disaffection is grounded, not only on political intrigues, as it is widely thought, but also on a real threat of social harm from irresponsible approach to such a process as gambling arrangement”.
Many representatives of large-scale gaming business gave a positive response to the Fund’s initiative and expressed readiness to accept proposed standards in their institutions. In particular, the head of the “Unicum” company B. Belotserkovskiy suggested spreading printed materials of the Fund throughout all gambling facilities.
