19-09-07, Responsible Gaming Fund shares experience with Ukrainian colleagues
A member of Responsible Gaming Fund Board of Trustees, Lavrentiy Gubin spoke at the round table devoted to the social responsibility of gaming business, presenting his report on the Fund practices within Russia. The round table was arranged within Kiev expo “Entertainment Industry” and drew attention of representatives from Ukrainian gaming business as well as from social organizations. During the round table there was a heated discussion regarding gaming business relations with the society and the government. The experience of the Fund raised a great deal of interest, but the principles of responsible gaming the Ukrainian gambling operators have are in germ by far. According to Mr Gubin, social activities of any company, including gambling operators, shall be first of all based upon unselfishness and a desire to make a positive contribution in harmonization of the society. Such principles, as a rule, are characteristic of developed industries and less common at the stages of business formation. However, the round table, as its participants emphasized, turned out to be useful from the point of information and experience exchange.
